Bill.com released its "State of Bookkeeping Practices Survey 2016" this week revealing that accounting professionals are bullish about business growth but still struggling with workflows and automating key tasks.

The survey revealed some other interesting information:
- 67% believe their firm will grow significantly in the next 2 years
- 39% offer value based pricing
- 71% use one or more cloud-based solution
- 85% indicated their clients rely or are open to technology recommendations from them
- Despite their bend towards technology, efficiency is still a struggle
- 80% manually enter payment transactions
- 68% manually enter issued invoices into accounting software
- Client site visits are going away
- 35% do not visit clients at all
