Woodard Events, the people who bring you Scaling New Heights, the largest gathering of QuickBooks ProAdvisors on the planet, is headed your way this fall with their new “Master Climber Boot Camps” to bring unique training to various cities throughout the U.S. and provide additional on-premise training options for accounting professionals.
Are you looking for ‘advanced’ training related to your professional practice as a QuickBooks Consultant?
Need courses that will qualify you for Intuit’s newly implemented ‘Advanced Continuing Education’ credits in order to maintain your current Advanced ProAdvisor Certification in either QuickBooks Desktop or Online?
Looking for not only ‘theory’, but ‘practical aspects’, to help you implement a new, enhanced or expanded practice specialization?
If you find yourself answering yes to one or more of these questions, you will want to plan on attending one of this fall’s Master Climber Boot Camp sessions coming to a major city near you. The Woodard Organization and a team of top notch instructors, including myself, are going to be racing across the country to bring you some of the most technical and innovative training you will find anywhere.
Joe Woodard, Laura Redmond, Gale Kirsopp, and myself will be taking you to the pinnacle of your practice with 32 hours of instruction in San Jose, CA., Los Angeles, CA., Ft. Lauderdale, FL., Austin, TX., and Philadelphia, PA. These courses are not just some re-hash of classes we have taught, they include new updated state-of-the moment materials and live product demonstrations. You will depart with not only a wealth of new knowledge, but a real feeling of ‘I can do that’ because you have actually seen when, why and how to do it.
In today’s first ‘Taste of the Boot Camps’ article I am going to provide a synopsis of the content I will be teaching.
It just wouldn’t be a ‘Murph time’ if I wasn’t teaching some tech-topic on QuickBooks data, so I have prepared my newest rendition of the QuickBooks Super Geek series just for these Boot Camps. This new class combines aspects of my QuickBooks File Stability, Performance Diagnostics & Enhancement, and Data Repair classes; but as I mentioned earlier, this isn’t just bits and pieces of the same old stuff. For example, I will be giving you performance tips associated with running QuickBooks under Windows 10 that I bet you have never even heard are possible. I will be taking a hands on approach to actually demonstrate specific tests you can perform to measure and improve your QuickBooks network. Then we will examine some of the newest ‘errors’ being reported in QuickBooks including phantom duplicates, recently detected Overflow errors, and a number of problems associated with migration to QuickBooks 2016 that may have you wondering if your only solution is to start a new file. We will also study how this year’s new Verify/Rebuild reports correspond to more detailed information found in our old friend the QBWin.log. I will even give you a live demonstration of my company’s QuickBooks error identification service.
And how could you expect to spend 6 hours at a Boot Camp with ‘Murph’ and not learn something about Inventory Control and Measurements? For inventory-centric businesses encompassing the areas of retail, wholesale, and manufacturing, your ability to generate the maximum amount of profit from the lowest amount of inventory investment, without compromising customer service is critical to your success. It doesn’t matter if you use QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online, you need the specific inventory related functionality that is critical to your company’s workflow. We will not only look at ways to get around some of the inherent limitations in QuickBooks software, but how you can expand areas of functionality to cover inventory workflows and manufacturing processes that you never though you could do with any version of QuickBooks. We will work through some key performance indicators for inventory-centric and manufacturing operations, and where the numbers come from to generate these analytics. We will also look beyond the limitations of QuickBooks and see how some third party products which integrate with QBD or QBO can significantly enhance your inventory intensive and manufacturing businesses.
But for those of you who are QuickBooks Online lovers, Murph has something special in store for you as well. I have updated my QBO Troubleshooting course with greater emphasis on the technical aspects of QuickBooks Online, as well as new errors and error reporting. Audiences at Scaling New Heights were not only packed into the last class of the conference, but managed to ‘stay awake and alert’ the entire time, as I presented the original version of this course for the first time ever. Since then, I have not only refined and supplemented the materials, but have incorporated actual demonstrations for some of the Data Utility Apps that work with QuickBooks Online. You will watch live as I show how you can recover your valuable QuickBooks Online data in a worst case scenario where a trusted, but disgruntled, employee sabotaged your data on her final day at the office.
Stay tuned over the next few weeks, as Insightful Accountant reveals more details about this fall’s Master Climber Boot Camps including not only course summaries, but ‘actual tastes’ of the content, from each of the Boot Camp instructors.

By the way, I look forward to seeing you at one of the Boot Camps this fall.
