Insightful Accountant recognizes that the QuickBooks® and ProAdvisor ‘world’ is changing and that a growing number of QuickBooks® users and ProAdvisors are now located outside the United States, and in fact North America. Last year we made a change to our ‘International ProAdvisor Award’ in an attempt to recognize this growth but the reality is that we are still segmenting the fastest growing population of ProAdvisors into a very limited number of our overall awards.
It is with this in mind that Insightful Accountant is announcing that we will be introducing a new ‘International ProAdvisor of the Year’ Program for 2020 that will operate apart from our domestic program and we will be limiting this year’s domestic awards to the United States & Canada. We plan on kicking-off the new International awards with nominations shortly after the domestic awards are announced at Scaling New Heights in St. Louis, with the International Awards including ‘International ProAdvisor of the Year’ being announced in the late fall, around QuickBooks® Connect 2020.
All areas of the globe, with the exception of the United States and Canada, will be eligible to participate in these new ‘International ProAdvisor Awards’. There will be a list of the Top 50 International ProAdvisors published, along with various International Region ProAdvisor Awards in addition to the International ProAdvisor of the Year Award.
The process for these new International ProAdvisor Awards will be very similar to that used for Insightful Accountant’s domestic awards program beginning with nominations (self or by someone else), formal applications outlining qualifications, peer voting, validation/scoring, final rankings, and awards announcements.
Insightful Accountant believes that these new awards more closely align with the growth of QuickBooks®, the ProAdvisor Program, and our own growing international readership. We believe these awards will more fairly recognize the achievements of the ProAdvisors across the world and we therefore encourage your support and participation at the time that we open nominations to international ProAdvisors during the summer of 2020.
