That’s right, I won’t be shedding any tears for you when you come crying that your best friend, business partner, (or even your mother) forgot to nominate you for Top 100. Each year I receive countless emails from otherwise qualified ProAdvisors after the nomination deadline asking me 'why they didn't get nominated,' I typically reply "Why didn’t you nominate yourself?"
The reality is that while we would all like to be 'nominated' by someone else, such as a colleague or even a client, the vast majority of our nominees end up on the list because they nominated themselves. Self-nomination is not only the primary source of nominations, but it's clearly identified in our rules as 'perfectly permissible.'
You ONLY have until January 11, 2019 at 11:59pm PT to ensure that you are among the nominees being considered in the next step of the process for the 2019 ProAdvisor of the Year and Top 100 ProAdvisors Awards.
Because of the cramped schedule this year, we will NOT be extending the nomination period, so don't think you still have time to get on the list 'after' the initial period ends; you won't.
If you want to make absolutely certain that you are considered then nominate yourself and do so now, because there are only a few more days until the nomination period closes for this round of awards.
