Doug Sleeter, Sleeter Group
Industry thought leader Doug Sleeter was inducted into the "CPA Practice Advisor Accounting Hall of Fame" last month during the seventh annual "Accounting Thought Leader Symposium" in Indianapolis.
Sleeter was the founder and CEO of The Sleeter Group, an international network of accounting software consultants, and the former producer of SleeterCon, one of the most popular annual educational and trade show conferences for accounting professionals. In 2015 he sold The Sleeter Group and SleeterCon, which now are known as Accountex.
A champion of innovation and positive disruption in small business accounting, Sleeter began his career with a CPA firm, then later joined Apple Computer, before starting and running The Sleeter Group with his wife, Sherrill.
