Intuit has announced the top four global firms of the future. The finalists are AIS Solutions & Kninja, AllThatCounts, Business Cents and Business Works UK Ltd. These four accounting firms, representing Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States, will vie for the winning spot in the "2017 Intuit QuickBooks Global Firm of the Future" contest.
AIS Solutions & Kninja of Canada began to take shape and move from concept stage into reality shortly after QuickBooks Connect in 2014. Juliet Aurora and Steve Loates operate both a bookkeeping and accounting firm committed to providing strategic direction and business development for their clients. As part of that, they formed Kninja Knetwork, which is a membership community that provides tools and resources to build the practices of bookkeepers.
AllThatCounts is one of the longest standing bookkeeping companies in Australia. Lielette Calleja is described as anything other than “your typical bean counter.” She is a highly regarded professional with 20 years’ experience in bookkeeping and accounting, supporting small to medium enterprises throughout Australia. Lielette is committed to empowering and educating SMBs with the financial informationthey need to drive their businesses forward.
BusinessCents is a full-service accounting consultancy and business software advisor located in Spokane, Wash. Founded in 2008 by Steffanie Anderson, BusinessCents provides expertise in Intuit software and training, plus a full array of bookkeeping services. It is committed to going beyond what basic accounting consultants and tax preparers offer so it can help its SMB clients increase profitability.
Business Works UK Ltd are proactive accountants offer the breadth of services SMBs need within the standards its clients expect, while at the same time caring about each and every one of those clients. Joanne Tomlinson, the firm's managing director, has more than 20 years of accountancy experience, where she developed a passion for helping her clients improve profits. The firm offers accounting, tax, compliance, funding and business growth consulting along with a variety of other services.
Intuit's Firm of the Future contest searches across the globe for the most future-ready and forward-thinking accounting, bookkeeping and tax firm. Each of these firms show a value of the cloud, use of business models to better value their expertise, and grow their practice with modern marketing techniques. The contest, now it its third year, recognizes the best of the best.
These finalists have now entered the next phase of the contest, where they will bring their submissions to life with a creative video detailing what makes them a "Firm of the Future." Once the videos are complete, they will be available on the "Firm of the Future" website finalists gallery for public voting between Oct. 16-29, 2017.
Each finalist will receives a $5,000 (USD) cash prize and two free tickets to Intuit’s QuickBooks Connect, Nov. 15-17, 2017 in San Jose, Calif. The grand prize winner will be unveiled at QuickBooks Connect and will receive an additional $10,000 (USD) prize.
Fifteen "Firm of the Future" runners-up from across the globe were also announced by Intuit. These runners-up (in alphabetical order) will each receive a $2,500 (USD) cash prize. The runners-up are:
