This recently rolled out feature allows QuickBooks Online Accountant Users the ability to view what certifications each employee has and when those certifications expire from the firm’s in-product dashboard. Being able to view your team in one dashboard means it's easier to manage the firm's team and stay on top of making certain that everyone is keeping current with their certifications before they expire.
Monitor your team's ProAdvisor certifications using the new certification dashboard inside QBO-Accountant.
New QBO-Actnt Team Dashboard
Certifications serve several purposes. One-way certifications can help is by keeping your team up to date on product releases. Another is managing your team’s specialties such as QuickBooks Online, Desktop, Enterprise and even Point of Sale. Knowing who is strongest within your team helps you know how to delegate projects and distribute client workload.
Certifications also help to attract new clients. Many firms receive client referrals from the Find-A-ProAdvisor listings. Clients use the Find-A-ProAdvisor listings to view credentials and advisor abilities. If yours or your team’s certifications are out of date they will not appear on the Find-A-ProAdvisor portal. This could greatly affect your firm’s ability to grow and attract new clients.
Free advertising with ProAdvisor certifications is a great benefit of the Find-A-ProAdvisor Intuit program. With each ProAdvisor account you have the option to make listings live so clients can find advisors to help them with their QuickBooks needs. To view team certifications go to: QBOA Navigation Bar > Team > Certifications.
Before taking QuickBooks certification I suggest taking the free training offered by Intuit. If you or your team needs training, you can find a list of Intuit offered training within your QBOA dashboard.
Most of the Inuit training is free and QuickBooks certifications are always free. To view QuickBooks Training for Certifications go to: QBOA > ProAdvisor > Training.
Certification Dates have recently been updated. The new deadline for recertification is August 31, 2020.
QBO ProAdvisors must Recertify between April 20, 2020 and August 31, 2020 if they certified prior to November 1, 2019.

One way to stay on top of team certification is to create an automated calendar reminder to ensure no one on your team loses their certification credentials. The recertification test users on newly rolled out features while the original certification test assesses overall accounting and product knowledge. To avoid needing to take the full test make sure your certification credentials are always up to date.
