Funding Gates has the awesome opportunity of joining alongside some of the industry’s best to talk about the SEXIEST, MOST EXCITING topic in the world: collections. Ha! Sadly, there is a strong stigma associated with that word, one that I firmly believe is time to retire. It’s time collections became the easiest part of running a business, and I hope you’ll sit in on the Collections Panel to learn more about what I’m saying.
Funding Gates is the company behind the FG Receivables Manager, the #1 Apps.com app for receivables management. We’re a cloud-based AR system that integrates with QuickBooks to take over AFTER the invoice has been sent, and allows you to then organize all your collections communication. We like to call it a CRM for receivables management. With the system you can log call notes, send payment reminders, work with a collections agency in under a minute, amongst many other things. We’re looking out for those businesses who bill for their product or service, therefore, essentially act as a lender to their customers, and need help keeping up and reaching out to those that owe them money. What is particular unique about the FG Receivables Manager is that, not only do we save time and erase headaches (which is what most software is designed for), but our software ALSO has a real financial impact on these businesses. Seriously, check out our reviews on Apps.com, and take note how many reference that their receivables are at all-time low in their company history, some reducing 80% of their open AR in just a month. It’s pretty rewarding to watch a product literally change businesses’ cash flow.
Now, Scaling New Heights is awesome because attendees have so many great sessions they can attend. How do you choose? I’m lucky enough to be sitting on a panel of experts, people that eat, sleep and breathe collections, so you can trust if you attend our session, you are getting advice from the industry’s best. I happen to write and speak on this topic a lot, and have been fortunate enough to contribute advice on receivables management to such publications as Fox Business, Yahoo!, AMEX Open Forum, Bank of America SBC and AllBusiness. If you have ever found yourself looking at a client’s books and realizing they need help with their AR, I think you can trust if you attend this session that you will equip yourself with the knowledge to better consult clients in this area (and be able to add some billable hours!) I personally think there is a major opportunity for accountants to offer receivables consulting for businesses, as there’s a huge demand for it, and it’s a pretty popular problem. If this interests attendees, they should also check out the Partner Program we have for QuickBooks Pro Advisors that allows them to use our software for free, and for their clients to do so at a discount, giving them just the tools they need to add this service to their business. I personally hope that attendees who find themselves working with clients with an AR problem, or those that service the construction, manufacturing or wholesale supply industries, will attend our session. We also see a lot of service-based businesses using our software, so if your clientele falls into the “business services” category, you can bet this session can help you in the future.
Last year was our first year at SNH, and I have to say, we had a blast. It’s a remarkable opportunity to get to network and know the people that spend everyday inside of QuickBooks. I hope we can continue to build relationships with ProAdvisors for many, many reasons. First, these relationships help us further the development of our software. We also like to meet partners who have clients who need to get debt off their books, and see how we can work together to solve this problem. Lastly, it’s important for us to find people we can return business to, because I can’t say enough how often I end up inside someone’s QuickBooks and realize they need major help with their books. It’s nice to have a list of the best of the best I can send our customers to.
I can promise you, when you walk away from this panel, you’ll be able to feel confident you can advise your clients on collections, you’ll know where to access the tools and resources to help get them paid, and you’ll be given advice from the industry’s best on simple alterations that can be made to a credit process to see immediate impact on Days Sales Outstanding.
