At today's QBTalks scheduled for 2 p.m. (EST), Esther Friedberg Karp and Murph will explore QuickBooks Enterprise 2023 in a one-hour webinar where you will earn CPE for attending.
Esther will introduce you to the new Cash Flow Hub, enhanced Track Vehicle Mileage feature and reports optimization. She then will dive into Item Categories, Expiration Dates for Serial/Lot tracking and Intercompany Transactions.
Murph will be along making his "no-holds-barred" comments about each of these new features. It will be worth an hour of your time just to hear what he has to say.
Item Categories provide a different approach to managing inventory within Enterprise through item categories and a hierarchical system of as many as four subcategory levels that users define. These new Categories then can be used in reports and viewed, sorted or filtered to provide inventory information in ways that benefit Enterprise users.
Expiration Dates allow products with lot or serial numbers to be tracked with expiration dates within Enterprise. These dates are recorded during purchase or receiving and may be viewed when the products are sold.
A variety of reports also can display the expiration dates for serialized or lot tracked products. Expiration Dates have long been needed for industries required to track products subject to expiration like food, beverages, nutritional supplements, cosmeceuticals, pharmaceuticals, and many others.

Intercompany Transactions solve the problem of multiple related companies having to manually create transactions in each QuickBooks company file to record intercompany financial activities. Enterprise1 2023 now can establish multiple QuickBooks Company file relationships, then post intercompany transactions like bills or checks to related Companies and use a dashboard to track all of their intercompany transactions.
This new feature can save a great deal of time when related entities share business expenses across multiple QuickBooks Company files.
Additional functionality is on the way for this new feature in future release updates.
