Nominations for ProAdvisor of the Year for 2015 are Now Closed, and we have already begun to receive emails asking everything from "when will I know if I won", to "when will voting take place". Let me just tell you, there is a very lengthy process that ensues between now and either one of those things.
So WHAT is NEXT -
First let me say that we have hundreds of nominations which were submitted. We must take the time to review all of them to cull-out duplicates, and yet at the same insure that different individuals with identical names are not excluded.
Within the next week or two ALL nominees will be sent an emailed Notification of Nomination. Intuitive Accountant will send that notification to the email we were provided during the Nomination Process (we will not search to contact any individual if the email is rejected, returned without reason, or otherwise invalid). The purpose of this notification is to let you know that we did in fact receive a 'nomination' (either from yourself or someone else). Let me also confirm that the number of nominations (self or from another individuals) has absolutely no effect upon the final outcome of the results.
Nominees will be required to submit a formal (electronic) application. The nomination form previously submitted is NOT our formal application. Nominees will be provided with a link to a website containing the Official Application Form. You must complete the Official Application Form (in full) in order to proceed to the next phase of the selection process.
The Official Application Form is very comprehensive. It includes sections concerning your QuickBooks certifications, your ProAdvisor practice, areas of specialization and self-ranked types of work you perform, as well as certain 'client demographics'. Additional areas include 3rd-party-product credentials such as referral partner or certified specialist. A variety of other topical areas will also be requested as part of the application form. Nominees are encouraged to print the application questions, complete them manually, and then return to the website to actually post their data.
Additional instructions concerning the Official Application Form will be provided in the Nominee notification email. Nominees will also be advised as to the date by which all formal applications must be completed.
So please folks, just be patient. I promise we will get to the very end of this process, and let's not forget, this June's awards are a long time away.
