Some of our clients need information reported in a certain way. It is exhausting to export data and search for information spread out all over the place. Instead, we try to compile our data into one place and manipulate it to show what we are looking to find. QuickBooks heard our needs and delivered.
Introducing: Pivot Tables in QBO
All QuickBooks Online Advanced users can now access this new feature and easily create pivot tables directly in the reports section by choosing various columns with the custom reports builder. You are able to create summary tables with any dimensions.

By clicking on the Reports tab, you can create a new report:
You have two options when creating a new report. You can start with the report creation wizard, or you can add data columns.
If you select adding data columns, you can always go back to the report creation wizard by clicking here on the right panel.
Some templated reports are below if you do not want to build your own.
Once you determine what type of report you want to do, you can click on the pivot table button and customize the row, column and values you want to see.
And just like that, no more exporting reports into excel to move around data.
