Sure QBO sales are up - it looks like its the ONLY thing offered!

I can't tell you how many of our long time customers have called or emailed to ask IF the desktop version even exists anymore! They say they've gone to QuickBooks.com and don't see anything about a desktop version. All that is being displayed is QBO, unless you scroll all the way to the bottom of any of the pages, then and only then do you see text links for the desktop versions!

It's insane, Intuit needs to realize that there are 2 very distinct sets of QB users - those that QBO is suitable for and those that the desktop - which we all know is more powerful and flexible - is the way to go. Both of these versions can and SHOULD get equal billing.

Sure, cloud based is the way of the future - but QBO is still far too limiting for a lot of businesses.

Reimagined Pro Advisor site

In reading your article my frustration level has just risen up to the point of rethinking my membership renewal for next year. My main point of contention is the elimination of the Pro Advisor web site as a separate entity. For the other 50 % who are not on board with the QBO, I'm feeling like it is being jam down my throat, especially with the only way to get to my Pro Advisor page is thru QBOA. I get the feeling that QBDT will be obsolete within the next year or so the way Intuit is PUSHING QBO... the two programs can exist in the same hemisphere. Why is this happening? Why isn't Intuit listening to the other 50%? Who are the people making these decision and why aren't we as PA's given a chance to have a say, after all without our membership fee's and support of this program I'm not sure Intuit would have the success it does. Just saying!!!

Pro Advisor site going away

My clients in this very rural area use desktop. Not interested in QBO. I am totally frustrated with Intuit and, like others, am also rethinking if I want to renew membership. My first 8 years as a Certified ProAd were great. The last one hasn't been.
