Did I miss the open voting for 2016 Top 100 Proadvisors?

Now that tax season is over I just thought that I had not heard anything about the Top 100 ProAdvisors and the conference is only weeks away. Did I miss something that allows folks to vote? My clients were wondering because the past few years they nominated then voted. I have not received any emails since I prepared my application. I would hate to have missed such an important part. Thank you.

Top 100 Voting

I just checked all my old emails from the last several months and I don't have anything. I just signed up again for the newsletter. Not getting it either. Thanks for the response to my earlier post. Bummed that I missed that part.

Make sure emails are going to junk/spam

All emails would have come from Gary, and would have used the email provided in the nomination information. But the website had articles about both the application step and the fact that we opened voting during the application process this year, due to the short time frame (SNH is a month earlier).

Just remember, that Votes are a 'tiny portion' of the overall scoring process because we do not view this as a popularity contest.

Top 100 ProAdvisors

Is there anything else that needs to be done for being considered as a Top 100 ProAdvisor for 2016? I have completed my application and now that tax season is over, I was curious if there was anything else that I needed to do. I have not received any emails since completing the application.
Thank you so much.

The process is pretty much complete

We had a lot of nominees, applicants and votes, but our tabulations are currently being sealed in a Mayonnaise jars so they can be duck taped to the backs of trained sea turtles that will escort them all the way to Atlantis in the Bahamas where the results will be announced and we will recognize the ProAdvisor of the Year and the Categorical Winners.

Look for the publication of the Top 100 very very very very soon. (The number of 'very's just might be a clue as to how many days are yet to come, then again it might have absolutely NOTHING to do with it....) 186 days ago

Hi, I'm just curious what other criteria, besides the voting, is included in the naming of the Top 100? Also just want to say "thank you" to you folks there for supporting ProAdvisors, I think the Top 100 is really important and great for the profession.

Thank you for your comments. The most basic criteria is you must be a current certified ProAdivsor. Once you clear that hurdle and we confirm you are in fact a current certified ProAdvisor, we send you a very lengthy application where you share your full certifications and credentials, events you attended in the past 12 months all of the apps you are "certified or registered" with, etc. It is a very comprehensive application. Just ask anyone who has completed it :). 202 days ago

According to the e-mail I got from you, I have until April 7th to fill out my

Top 100 ProAdvisor and ProAdvisor of the Year Application so why are we getting this announcement?

Two different items

The applications don't have to be completed in order for people to vote. However, if you don't complete your application, then you won't be included in the next step, which is scoring, in which we use the voting results as one of the criteria. 209 days ago

Actually, the forms says something different that what you are saying above

"Once the application period ends and we review the submissions, we will have open
voting, so "stay tuned" to Insightful Accountant so you don't miss the opportunity to

To me, that means, you can't have open voting until April 8th. Perhaps next year, you will clarify the process.

We chose to open voting prior to receipt of all applications

Because of the shorter time frame to get all the tabulations done prior to Scaling New Heights, we needed to go ahead and open voting to run even while individuals were completing their formal applications.

Your cooperation and participation is appreciated.
