Intuit's 2016 Global Search for the Firms of the Future is slated to launch mid-June. It will offer the top accounting firms worldwide the chance to win over $100,000 in prizes, including multiple cash prizes and all-expense paid trips to Intuit’s annual QuickBooks Connect conference, October 24-26, in San Jose, California.
“Accounting and bookkeeping firms across the globe have embraced the future and Intuit wants to find and celebrate those whose forward-thinking and future-ready practices continue to help meet the needs of their small business clients,” said Jim McGinnis, vice president, Intuit Accountant Segment. “We’re pleased to recognize accounting professionals in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States, who have built future-ready firms today.”
A panel of qualified judges, including Jim McGinnis and Intuit Accountant Segment senior leaders, will select up to 20 firms who best embody the Firm of the Future practices, including leveraging the cloud to become clients’ trusted advisors and transform their practices using digital and social media practices. Finalists will be announced in August, and then a public vote will select the top winner. The top five global finalists will receive a free trip to QuickBooks Connect, where the grand prize winner will be announced. The grand prize winner will receive a check for $10,000 and there are another $90,000 in prizes as well.
