As always, QuickBooks Connect offers up some of the most sought after speakers to enlighten and motivate attendees. Insightful Accountant has already posted articles featuring some of this year's speakers. We'll continue to post such articles over the next few weeks leading up to QuickBooks Connect, which is being held Nov. 15-17 at the San Jose Convention Center.
Tyra Banks
Entrepreneur. Author. Executive producer. Former model. Professor. Having gone from being one of the original Victoria's Secret Angels, as well as the first African-American model to be featured on the cover of the "Sports Illustrated Swimsuit" edition, Tyra Banks recently assumed the role of professor at Stanford University, where she instructed a graduate level course on creation and protecting your personal brand.
Not only is she the creator and executive producer of "America's Next Top Model," but she's the owner of TYRA Beauty (a division of the Tyra Banks Company). The company offers a line of irritant-free (animal-testing free) beauty and skincare products compatible with all skin types.
While her life's mission is expanding "the definition of beauty," she is just as committed to empowering women. That includes the role her investment firm, Fierce Captial LLC, which plays in supporting early-stage technology and lifestyle companies that are female-led or female-focused.
