How long did it take you to figure this out?

Maybe I am showing my age but I have always known the beginning numbers on credit cards by type.

Of course I also remember back in the day before the fancy card swipes using the paper charge receipts and the slide machine. Then taking those receipts to the bank to deposit. Plus we would get the microscopic printouts every two weeks for stolen credit cards to check against. Now that I have dated myself, you can all have a good laugh.

We didn't say this was 'newly discovered Rocket Science...'

Thanks for your comment, but this was just a 'tip' to share. (Heck it wasn't even a tip on something or somewhere good to eat....).

Still the same, you have to remember that while we tend to write a lot of articles focused toward ProAdvisors and other consultants, we also have 'everyday readers' and basic-users of software reading our stuff as well.

I'm almost certain that one of Caren's clients probably had recently asked the question, and that triggered Caren to think to herself, "perhaps IA should share this with our readers."

If you have any tips you would like to share, pass them along to us in an email, maybe we will start a new 'tip of the week' column if there is enough interest and contributions.

PS - and thanks for reading Intuitive Accountant !
