Fixed Asset Manager

Thank you so much Murph for addressing this subject. I have used the Fixed Asset Manager in both QuickBooks and ProSeries for years. The only thing I do differently is put the first 4 letters of the client after "backup\Client\" so I know who the file is designated to.

Do not understand

Restoring Fixed Asset Manager Files: bullet point #2. Second sentence. Sorry. I'm not sure I understand. If that window doesn't appear or Fixed Asset Manager opens...then we do something else that does not look like the window example? Sorry, "Select Fix Asset Manager File menu & click Restore"...looks a lot like the window in the example.

First Window

If you have not set-up FAM yet, you get a window that gives you 4 options. If you are moving a file to another computer, then QB doesn't think FAM is configured so it opens the same window; however, we have seen where FAM opens without data, and in those cases you can go to the File (menu) Restore (option) within the actual FAM to restore the file.
