Intuit recently gave QuickBooks Online a new look when it comes to Statements via the custom statement tool. Previously, you were unable to change the appearance or style of statements.
Now you can customize your master invoice templates with new colors, fonts, logos, and more. And your QBO Statements automatically get updated to match your invoice template.
That’s like two double-chocolate-fudge-cake-delights for the price of one.
You still are able to configure how much information to provide your customers with concerning each transaction. By default, QBO still lists transactions in the Activity column of your statements by their type – for example, "Invoice #2017043001 or Payment."
In addition, you have the option to include a memo in the Activity column simply by including a memo on individual transaction – for example: “April’s Professional Services.”
As I said, you can customize your Statements simply by customizing your master invoice template.
The following settings/fields carry over from the invoice template to your statements:
- Logo (& logo-placement)
- Color scheme
- Font and line height
- Page Margins
- Window Envelopes
- Terms
- Form name/number
- Company name
- Address
- Phone number
- Website
It's simply amazing what a little color will do for your statement world.
