Do you know about the Ultiimate Accounting vCon? I've seen it mentioned on LinkedIn and in various other social media outlets, but quite honestly have not paid much attention to it. So I was glad to find an email in my Outlook from Sandi Smith Leyva so that I could learn a little bit more about the event.
What did I learn about the Ultimate Accounting Vcon? The Ultimate Accounting vCon is a 2 day virtual conference scheduled for July 24-25, 2014 that is designed for accounting professionals and people who work with accounting professionals. The majority of the attendees of the past events were female (78%) ProAdvisors (73%) and have clients (39% have 1-10 and 31% have 11-50 clients). In addition, 52% classify themselves as a BookKeeper, 33% are accountants (not CPA) while 30% are CPA's. You can get more demographic details here, but why are the demographics important? While we don't make our business decisions based on what others are doing, it is certainly prudent to pay attention to what they are doing and to see if there is a reason to follow. In this case, if these demographics are similar to yours, you may want to dig a little deeper.
So what is there to consider?
First - Content - The event lasts for 2 days and consists of 8 educational sessions including "The New QBO Accountant; 3 Strategies to Monetizing Cloud Hosting: 10 Steps to Revolutionize Your Client's Receivables and Pricing Your Way to More Profit (to mention a few).
Second - Vendors - Vendor play a key role in any event. They help keep the costs manageable for attendees, they offer good quality content, and more importantly, they offer you the latest tools and technologies to help you grow your business and better serve your clients. As of the writing of this article you'll be able to network with representatives from Intuit, Right Networks, Funding Gates, ZenPayroll, Xero, Zoho, BIll.com, TransferMate and TSheets.
Third - Cost - The cost is $199. This rate is good through April 20, after which it goes up to $219. Being good accounting professionals, I know you'll want to take advantage of the discount if you can!
Lastly, you want to know a little bit about the people behind the event, right?
