Well some of us were wondering when a 'real bug' would be found in QuickBooks 2015 products and it seems like a 'new' never before encountered bug has been found in association with two of the 'advanced feature set' components of Enterprise 15.
Customers are reporting that they are experiencing an issue when they try to use Advanced Pricing in a transaction if they have both QuickBooks Advanced Reporting (QBAR) and the Advanced Pricing Add-On turned-on.
The QuickBooks Enterprise product team has discovered that these two add-ons "do not play well together" when a customer has both turned on. The fix is apparently not a simple one and so it will not be resolved until the QuickBooks "slipstream" update which is due to be released on December 3rd.
Because of the 'new' pricing model which was recently implemented, QuickBooks Enterprise Platinum Edition customers will continue to receive both add-ons but they need to choose which product they want to enable. Intuit is apparently working on some form of a "make good promotion" to offer to Platinum customers due to the fact that both products aren't working together right now. Details on the promo offer are being finalized and will be communicated sometime in the immediate future.
